A beautiful and unusual silk and mohair yarn, Faery Wings is a combination of a single ply of shiny silk wrapped with a strand of fluffy mohair and nylon to create a yarn with a wonderful handle and luxurious drape.
Made with 69% Mulberry Silk, 22% Mohair and 9% Polyamide, Faery Wings is put up in 50g hanks with 175m/191yds per hank and is available in 13 shades from semi solid to variegated.
Despite the textured appearance of Faery Wings in the hank, the yarn knits up into a smooth and even fabric with luxurious drape and a soft halo, as shown in the swatch on the right.
